Works Toward Expansion

Exciting news was announced on Friday, December 3, regarding expansions at the Kettering Medical Center campus.

KMC is currently working with city officials to begin development of the 34-acre parcel of land on the east side of Southern Boulevard across from the hospital. The initial proposed plan includes four buildings which will bring added jobs and greater patient capacity. Just as importantly, it will provide the space to accommodate new technologies that will keep KMC at the cutting edge of ever-evolving health care.

Construction could begin as soon as March if the process proceeds as anticipated with the Planning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals. This new portion of the KMC campus is expected to begin with an outpatient surgery center and a multi-level parking garage, and input from the KMC board will be gathered at its next meeting.

These exciting changes would not be possible without the collective efforts of KMC employees and medical staff.
