NEW LOBBY OPENING / TRAFFIC FLOW INFORMATION
Effective August 30, the lobby for the new Benjamin & Marian Schuster Heart Hospital at the Kettering Medical Center will be open. This will serve as the main entrance to the Kettering Medical Center. Individuals can be picked up and dropped off at the main entrance at the front of the hospital. We hope you enjoy the environment of healing in our new facility.

PATIENT MOVE
Kettering Medical Center is moving to a new level in patient care and comfort. And if you are a patient in the Cardiac Care unit, the Mother/Baby unit or the Joint Center on Sunday, October 3, you have the opportunity to join us in that move. On October 3 the new units will be opened in the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Heart Hospital. Patients in the respective units in Kettering will move to these new rooms.
  • Patients on 3 North (Cardiac) will move to 3 East; Patients
    on 4 South (Mother/Baby) will move to 4 East; Patients on
    2 South (Joint Center) will move to 5 East.
  • A new, private room will be assigned to each patient during
    the morning. Patients and their families will be informed of
    the new room number by noon.
  • Patients will begin moving at 1 p.m., but to maintain an orderly, and comfortable
    transition for patients and families, not everyone will move at the same time. It is
    anticipated that the patient move will last throughout the afternoon and some patients may move as late as 5 p.m.
  • Visitation will not be limited during the move. We welcome family members to accompany their loved one to their new room. This transition will be exciting, and we encourage family members to participate in and enjoy the transition to the healing environment of the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Heart Hospital.
  • All patient belongings will accompany the patient during the move.
  • Meal service will be provided at a set meal time for the noon and dinner meals on October 3. Creative Cuisine meal service will resume on Monday, October 4.
