Less Cutting = Less Pain and Quicker Recovery

Minimally Invasive surgery (Laparoscopic Surgery) results in less trauma to the body which results in shorter hospital stays for the patient.

These types of surgeries utilize much smaller incisions compared to open surgeries; requiring only a few stitches to close. Since, there is less cutting the body is able to heal much faster. Thus, many minimally invasive surgeries are performed on outpatients (go home the same day). However, the surgery can also be utilized on inpatients (stay in the hospital).
